the Shavian playground companion.
i wish we had interchangeable eyes, mine are so tired and sore, if only i could change them
like you change spectacles. 

it's a curious thought though - what would i see if i had your eyes, and what would you see if
you had mine? what would we see if only we had Your eyes? have you ever wondered what
God's eyes would look like, if indeed He had eyes like we do. would they be a particular
colour? would they be sepet, would they be big, would they be gentle and large, or frightening
and threatening? 

more to the point though, is not only "how God sees, but what he sees" (poorly altered Shaw
line, i admit.) and i think, if we saw things the way He did, the way He sees people, how much
more might we love them? how much more might we feel that deep sense of compassion we
only get inklings of, towards very select members of the populace? how deep would our sorrow
be at a world grieving and broken? what more would we see of creation, what more to treasure
and protect?

if it were only for a day, i would that i could have Your eyes, to change the way i see my world. to
see a bigger part of this world that my spiritual myopia blurs. 

how is God opening our eyes today, making them His own, that our view of things might be His?
